Dr. Shanks and his staff are great. Ii was seen at my appointment time no wait. I was there for a consultation but I was able to have the growth removed at this visit without having to make another appointment. Dr. Shanks is very kind and patient considering I was nervous and wiggling in the chair. I would highly recommend him for any oral surgery that is needed .

Dr Shanks and staff had me well prepared prior to the procedure. I was at ease asking questions. I was comfortable during the whole procedure. Dr Shanks has worked on most of our family from wisdom teeth to implants. We would not go to any other oral surgeon.

Dr. Shanks and his assistants are great. They’re so welcoming, nice, and knowledgeable. However, the billing department at this practice is awful. I received notice from my insurance that I had overpaid $1,090. I had to call Dr. Shank’s office 10 times and speak with different employees before they would acknowledge that I overpaid for my procedure. They just kept telling me they needed to receive paperwork from my dental insurance before they could issue my refund, but they would never take the initiative to contact them directly. My last phone call I got an attitude and sigh out of the receptionist, so I called my insurance company again and had them contact Dr. Shanks office via phone to verify that they were not waiting for anything from my insurance company. Once verified, it still took them a couple weeks to send me a check. 4 months for a refund is absolutely absurd and I’m sure I would’ve never received it had I not been pressing the issue. Horrible customer service from their billing and management.
