I was scared of getting my wisdom teeth extracted. They had been giving me so much trouble and I decided to finally get them out. Despite being a hard stick, he got me on the second try and before I knew it my teeth were out! Almost no swelling and the medication he prescribed is helping immensely through the healing process. The staff were so kind to me and they definitely deserve to be one of the highest rated facilities in Knoxville.

This review is 3 days after surgery. I have been terrified for years about getting my wisdom teeth removed. The staff and doctors were very friendly and comforting. I had all 4 removed in one go and have experienced no pain whatsoever. The pain management has been great and it appears that they did an excellent job with removing the teeth. Quick in and out procedure. Highly recommend.

Just had oral surgery with Dr Shanks. The whole process was smooth and easy. Dr Shanks took the time to alleviate my anxiety before the procedure started by walking me through it. As good of an experience as possible regarding wisdom teeth extraction. I'm not big on reviews but felt great work shouldn't go unnoticed. Getting your wisdom teeth extracted is obviously not an ideal experience but Dr. Shanks and his staff were very helpful in the pre-op appointment and he even called after my surgery to check in which I thought was above and beyond. As a man who appreciates efficiency, I'd also like to note that I was back in his chair no less than 3 minutes and (if I had to guess) was put under within 15 minutes of walking in for my appointment. Would highly recommend.
