Everything about my procedure was great! He put 2 implants in my gum today and it went great. No pain at all and Dr Shanks was very caring and the whole staff was very nice. I would highly recommend Dr Shanks!

I had an excellent experience from start to finish during my wisdom teeth extraction procedure, and I would highly recommend Dr. Shanks and his whole team to anyone who is in need of such services. I visited the Maryville office for my initial consultation, and was treated with courtesy and everything went very smoothly. They calmed my anxieties that I had about being a bit older than most to have my wisdom teeth extracted (39). I had heard rumors that the older you are, the harder the experience can be. This proved to be false, in my case, and I couldn’t be happier. I had my actual procedure take place at the Cedar Bluff office, and the same can be said about all the staff I experienced there as well. From the very welcoming young lady at the front desk, to the nurse who took me back to surgery and got me prepped, and obviously with Dr. Shanks himself, I was blown away at their professionalism and the way they treated me. Dr. Shanks even took the time to contact me the night of my surgery to check on me personally and make sure I was doing ok, which is something I have never experienced before. Once again, I couldn’t speak more highly of Dr Shanks and his team, they provided me with the best possible experience I could hope for.

There was even a point where I was in tears and disbelief, and this was all before my surgery. I’m typing this post op. Shanks was more comforting and helpful than the last time I visited my parents. They gave me more than 5/5 no question. Amazing experience.

Everyone from office personnel to Dr Shanks are wonderful to work with. Dr Shanks is very good at explaining as well as making sure all your questions are answered. He personally follows up with you after surgery to make sure you don't have any questions etc. Finally, he doesn't keep you waiting. He is on time or reasonably close to it. When you're nervous waiting for surgery it's nice to count on the fact Dr. Shanks won't keep you waiting. I had nothing but a positive experience with this office and Dr Shanks.
