Dr. Shanks and his entire staff Knoxville AND Blount County are not only professional but extremely kind and compassionate. Appointment time was almost exact and I can’t say enough about how well they communicate. I went to Dr. Shanks in 2015 for surgery and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I gave nothing but praise for him and his office staff so needless to say I highly recommend him if you ever find yourself in need of oral surgery!

Dr. Shanks has performed two procedures for me in the past few months and I have nothing but great things to say about him as well as his entire staff! I've had many surgeries and other issues over my 45 years and I can honestly say that Dr. Shanks and his team are the only people that have been able to make me feel comfortable not only during the procedure but before and most importantly, after! I must admit I am a bit biased, as his father, Dr. Carroll Shanks DDS, was the first person to ever operate on me when I broke my jaw and lost my "eye teeth" in the mid 80's. The professionalism and caring "bedside manner" have both been passed along to his wonderful son, Dr. Charles Shanks DDS, PC!!! I am so glad to have been able to meet and be so kindly treated by two generations of the Shanks family! Please do not look anywhere else for your major dental needs, as you have already found the best! Even if you have to go out of network, I promise you will not regret choosing Dr. Shanks and his team, I would give them 10 stars if I could! Excellent work, courteous, professional staff and an all around great experience that I highly recommend!

Excellent service. Had to have a tooth pulled he was willing to try it without putting me to sleep because I asked for it. The tooth was so infected he finally had to put me to sleep but he did an awesome job and took the time to explain everything as we went along.
