I can’t believe how perfectly everything went. My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed and everything went so well. The surgery was quick. She hardly had any pain and very little swelling. Could not ask for a better experience! I was anxious prior to surgery, but Dr. Shanks was very calm and supportive. I experienced very little post-op pain, and Dr. Shanks personally called that evening to check on me. The entire office staff is wonderful. I hope to not need their services again 😉, but if I do - would certainly go back, and would recommend to anyone needing an oral surgeon's care.

I was apprehensive about having a procedure where I would be sedated using anesthesia due to a rare allergy I have. Dr. Shanks took the time to explain the anesthesia he would be using and assured me I would have no reaction. He was right! I woke up from the procedure, pain free and now I can eat pain free! Everyone was very kind and patient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends or family!

I had a tooth pulled. After the preliminary check in procedures they took me back to the surgery room. Two nurses were busy getting everything ready for Dr. Shanks. The nurses were so friendly and efficient that was able to relax and feel confident that I was in the right place. Dr. Shanks came in and spoke with me for about 20 minutes. He explained everything that was going to happen and answered all questions. They put me to sleep with gas and an injection. I woke up seemingly minutes later. I walked to the car with a little help from my wife. They sent me home with prescriptions for hydrocodone and amoxicillin. I alternate the hydrocodone with over the counter ibuprofen. The area where the tooth came out was kind of achy for about 2 days. Otherwise I have been pain free. I go back in a few weeks to have an implant installed.

Shanks office made everything so easy from the beginning to the end! They were friendly, prompt and did a fantastic job with my son and extracting his wisdom teeth. We were in and out within an hour. I can’t say enough great things about this office, the staff and doctor!
