Dr. Shanks, in addition to both his Knoxville office staff and his Maryville office staff, are professional, friendly and kind. I had a tooth extracted and a post inserted for an implant and at every step the staff and Dr. Shanks explained the process, procedure and plan of care. They are also very knowledgeable about insurance and the cost of services. No one wants to have oral surgery but Dr. Shanks made the procedure as pain-free as possible at every stage of the process.
